Selnport

Selnport is a port city and administrative center in the fictional nation of Veridia. Located on the western coast at the mouth of the Sol River, it has a temperate maritime climate and serves as Veridia's primary hub for trade and logistics.

Selnport's origins lie in a medieval fishing village near sheltered harbors. It expanded with regional trade, acquiring a fortified town center and a bustling market district. The advent of steam shipping and containerized cargo in the 20th century elevated it to a major regional port.

The port remains central, with container terminals, bulk facilities, and a fish-processing zone. The city also hosts manufacturing, logistics services, and a university campus offering maritime and engineering programs.

Selnport operates under a mayor–council system within Veridia's coastal prefecture. The urban area has about 140,000 residents, with a diverse population linked to its role in trade and services.

Notable sites include the Old Dock and the Maritime Museum, plus the Stadttor Clock Tower. The Seafare festival celebrates fishing heritage and seafood cuisine.

The city is connected by rail and highways, with a dedicated port rail link to national corridors and an international seaport complex serving regional and long-distance trade.
