Selayar
Selayar refers to both the Selayar Islands, an archipelago off the southwest coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the associated regency, Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar. The largest island in the group is Selayar Island, which hosts the regency seat, Benteng. The archipelago lies in the Flores Sea and comprises several inhabited and uninhabited islands with a generally hilly terrain, coastal plains, and tropical vegetation. The area supports coral reefs and mangrove ecosystems that contribute to its biodiversity.
