Sekundaarikaarella

Sekundaarikaarella, often translated as secondary coil, refers to the coil of wire in a transformer that receives energy from the primary coil. In an ideal transformer, the voltage and current in the secondary coil are determined by the ratio of the number of turns in the secondary coil to the number of turns in the primary coil, and the voltage and current in the primary coil. This principle allows transformers to either step up or step down voltage.

When an alternating current flows through the primary coil, it creates a fluctuating magnetic field in the transformer's core. This changing magnetic field then induces an alternating voltage in the secondary coil, according to Faraday's law of induction. The magnitude of the induced voltage is directly proportional to the rate of change of the magnetic flux and the number of turns in the secondary coil.

The relationship between the primary and secondary coils is fundamental to the operation of transformers, which are ubiquitous in power distribution systems, electronics, and many other applications.
