Sedins

The Sedins refer to Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Swedish twin brothers who played professional ice hockey. Born in 1980 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, they began their professional careers with Modo Hockey in the Swedish league before moving to the NHL.

They were selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, with Daniel chosen second overall and Henrik third. They joined the Canucks for the 2000-01 season and quickly established themselves as one of the league’s most productive and recognizable forward duos, known for their exceptional on-ice chemistry and two-way play.

During their NHL careers, the Sedins spent the bulk of their time with the Canucks, shaping the team’s identity and contributing consistently at a high level. Henrik often served as captain, while both brothers were central figures in the club’s offense and leadership. They are regarded as among the franchise’s leading scorers and longest-tenured players.
