Schöffengrund
Schöffengrund is a municipality in the district of Lahn-Dill, in Hesse, Germany. It is located in the eastern part of the district, approximately 15 kilometers south of Wetzlar and 25 kilometers northwest of Giessen. The municipality was formed in 1970 through the merger of several formerly independent villages. Its name is derived from "Schöffen," referring to lay judges in medieval Germanic law, and "Grund," meaning valley or ground, reflecting its historical significance and geographical location.
