Ebersgöns

Ebersgöns is a municipality in the district of Gießen in Hesse, Germany. It is located in the southern part of the district, approximately 20 kilometers southwest of the city of Gießen and 30 kilometers north of Frankfurt am Main. The community is situated in the Vogelsberg Nature Park.

The municipality was formed in 1971 through the merger of the previously independent communities of Ebersgöns and Espa. Historically, the area has been inhabited for centuries, with evidence of early settlements dating back to Roman times. The name "Ebersgöns" likely derives from a combination of Germanic personal names and topographical features.
