Sayanam
Sayanam is a Hindu ritual observed by some Vaishnava traditions, particularly within the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya. It refers to the practice of meditating upon or contemplating the divine form of Lord Vishnu, often in his resting or reclining posture, known as Ananta Sayanam or Vishnupada Sayanam. This posture symbolizes the cosmic sleep of Vishnu, from which the entire universe originates and into which it is eventually reabsorbed.
