Savumerkit
Savumerkit, also known as Finnish signal rockets, are pyrotechnic devices historically used for signaling and communication. These rockets typically consist of a propellant charge that generates smoke of a specific color upon ignition. The color of the smoke serves as a code, with different colors representing different messages or alerts. Historically, savumerkit were employed by the military, maritime services, and emergency responders for a variety of purposes, including coordinating troop movements, signaling distress, and indicating the presence of hazards.
