Saverne
Saverne is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region of France. Located in Alsace, it is situated at the foot of the Vosges mountains and on the Zorn river. The town has a rich history dating back to Roman times, when it was known as Tabernae. It later became an important religious and administrative center during the Middle Ages, particularly for the Prince-Bishops of Strasbourg.
