Sanaag
Sanaag is a region in the Horn of Africa, located in the northeastern part of Somaliland and Somalia. The regional capital is Erigabo (Ceerigaabo). The region has a coastline along the Gulf of Aden and includes coastal towns such as Las Khorey. Sanaag is inhabited mainly by Somali clans, including the Warsangali and Dhulbahante, and has a history linked to the Warsangali Sultanate which historically controlled the northern coastline.
