Samoitní is a term used in some Slavic languages, notably Czech and Slovak, to describe something that is inherent, self-evident, or goes without saying. It conveys a sense of something being intrinsically true or obvious, not requiring external proof or explanation. The word originates from the combination of "sám" (self) and "vitní" (related to seeing or appearing), suggesting something that appears or is understood by itself.

In everyday conversation, samoitní can be used to describe a situation where the outcome is predictable or the meaning is clear. For example, if someone is asked if they will attend a friend's wedding, and they are very close to the couple, their answer might be "To je samoitní," meaning "That goes without saying" or "Of course." It implies a lack of doubt or uncertainty about the matter.

Certain principles or truths are considered samoitní by those who share a common background or education.
