A saltdispenser is a common household item designed for the controlled release of salt. These devices vary greatly in size, shape, and material, ranging from simple shakers with perforated tops to more complex electric grinders. Manual grinders require the user to twist a mechanism, while electric versions use a motor powered by batteries or a power cord. These grinders offer a more refined control over salt particle size and dispensing volume.

Materials like stainless steel, wood, and even polished stone are used in their construction.
