It is derived from sajt, the local word for "website," which in turn comes from the English "site." The suffix -er marks an agent, giving sajt-er a sense of "one who works with websites."

Practically, a sajter might handle building site layout, coding, content management, maintenance, and basic search engine optimization. In more formal contexts or professional job titles, people may use terms such as web dizajner, web developer, or webmaster; the choice depends on local norms and company conventions.
