Sagedusdusäästjaid, often translated as frequency inverters or variable frequency drives (VFDs), are electrical devices used to control the speed of AC electric motors. They operate by converting the fixed frequency and voltage of the mains power supply into a variable frequency and voltage output. This variable output allows the motor to run at speeds other than its base synchronous speed.
