Safi

Safi is a port city on the Atlantic coast of western Morocco. It is the capital of Safi Province and part of the Marrakesh-Safi region.

Safi has a long maritime tradition and has functioned as a trading and fishing hub since ancient times, reflecting its coastal location and historical connections with various peoples and trade routes.

The economy centers on the port and its exports, notably phosphates and minerals, along with a significant fishing industry. Safi is also known for its ceramics and pottery, with traditional workshops producing distinctive blue-glazed wares that are widely associated with the city.
