Saclan
Saclan is the name given to a historical Indigenous group of the Ohlone peoples who inhabited the eastern San Francisco Bay Area, in what is now northern Alameda County and southern Contra Costa County, including the hills east of Oakland and Berkeley. Their traditional territory encompassed foothill and valley villages near streams and oak savannas, with seasonal rounds centered on gathering, hunting, and processing acorns.
