SEGIB

SEGIB stands for the Ibero-American General Secretariat. It is an international organization that promotes cooperation and integration among Ibero-American countries. SEGIB's main objective is to strengthen ties between the nations of Ibero-America, which includes the countries of Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. It works to foster political dialogue, social inclusion, economic development, and cultural exchange.

The organization was established in 2003 and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain. SEGIB plays a crucial role in facilitating the Ibero-American Summits of Heads of State and Government, serving as its permanent secretariat. It supports the implementation of agreements and decisions made at these summits, focusing on various areas of cooperation such as education, science, technology, culture, and sustainable development. SEGIB also promotes the participation of civil society and other stakeholders in the integration process. It aims to build a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable Ibero-America through collaborative efforts and shared policies.
