SCkuituliittimet, also known as SC fiber optic connectors, are a type of physical connector used to join fiber optic cables. They are part of the SC (Subscriber Connector or Standard Connector) family, which was one of the first connectors developed to use a push-pull coupling system. This mechanism makes them easier and quicker to connect and disconnect compared to older screw-on types.

The SC connector features a 2.5 mm ferrule, which is a precision ceramic or metal sleeve that holds the fiber optic end. It is typically square-shaped and designed for single-mode and multi-mode fiber. The connector body is often made of plastic and is keyed to ensure proper orientation, preventing damage to the fiber core during connection.
