Sügavtühjenemine

Sügavtühjenemine refers to the process of fully discharging a battery's stored energy. This contrasts with partial discharge, where a battery is only used to a fraction of its capacity before being recharged. The concept is particularly relevant in the context of rechargeable batteries, such as lithium-ion or nickel-metal hydride chemistries.

While some battery chemistries are more tolerant of deep discharges than others, frequent or extreme sügavtühjenemine can sometimes lead to a reduction in the battery's overall lifespan or performance.
