Sähköbussien

Sähköbussit, or electric buses, are public transport vehicles powered by electricity. They represent a significant shift in urban mobility, aiming to reduce emissions and noise pollution associated with traditional diesel-powered buses. The primary power source for an electric bus is a battery pack, which is recharged either by plugging into a charging station or through dynamic charging systems while in motion.

The technology behind electric buses has advanced considerably, leading to increased range and improved charging infrastructure. These buses offer several environmental benefits, most notably the elimination of tailpipe emissions. This contributes to cleaner air in cities, improving public health and reducing the carbon footprint of public transportation. Furthermore, electric buses operate more quietly than their diesel counterparts, leading to a reduction in urban noise levels.

Economically, while the initial purchase price of an electric bus may be higher than a conventional bus, operational costs can be lower.
