Rødt

Rødt (Norwegian for The Red) is a democratic socialist political party in Norway. It was founded in 2007 as the successor to the Red Electoral Alliance (Rød Valgallianse) and the Workers' Communist Party (AKP). The party identifies with anti-capitalist and anti-neoliberal positions and advocates expanding the welfare state, implementing progressive taxation, and promoting public ownership of key sectors and natural resources. It emphasizes workers’ rights, social equality, gender equality, and environmental sustainability, with policies aimed at democratic control of the economy and reduced private ownership in strategic areas.
