Rødlisten
Rødlisten refers to Norway’s official Red List of threatened species and habitats. The list provides a scientific assessment of the conservation status of native species and habitat types, documenting population trends, geographic distribution, and known threats. It is produced by Artsdatabanken, the Norwegian Biodiversity Information Centre, on behalf of the government, with input from researchers, museums, nature organisations and other experts. The assessments follow standardized criteria derived from the IUCN Red List system and categorize taxa and habitats into levels such as Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable, Near Threatened, and Least Concern, as well as Data Deficient and Not Evaluated, and the occasionally used extinct categories.
