Röntgenmittauksia, often translated as X-ray measurements, refers to a range of techniques utilizing X-rays to gather information about the structure, composition, or properties of materials. These methods are widely employed in scientific research, industrial quality control, and medical diagnostics. The fundamental principle behind most X-ray measurement techniques is the interaction of X-ray photons with matter, which can result in absorption, scattering, or the emission of secondary radiation.

One common application is X-ray diffraction (XRD), where the characteristic pattern of diffracted X-rays from a crystalline material provides data about its atomic arrangement, crystal structure, and phase identification.
