Röntgenhuone
Röntgenhuone, often translated as X-ray room, is a specialized area within a medical facility designed for the acquisition of radiographic images. These rooms are constructed with lead-lined walls, doors, and windows to shield medical personnel and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure. The primary equipment found in a röntgenhuone is an X-ray machine, also known as an X-ray tube, and an image receptor. The X-ray tube generates X-rays, which are directed at the patient. Different tissues and structures within the body absorb X-rays to varying degrees. The X-rays that pass through the patient then strike the image receptor, which can be a film-screen system or a digital detector. This process creates a radiographic image that visualizes internal body structures.
The design and operation of a röntgenhuone are governed by strict safety regulations to minimize radiation
