Równolegobok

Równoległobok is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel. This means that for any given równoległobok, the top and bottom sides are parallel to each other, and the left and right sides are parallel to each other. A key property of a równoległobok is that its opposite sides are also equal in length. Furthermore, opposite angles within a równoległobok are equal. Adjacent angles, on the other hand, are supplementary, meaning they add up to 180 degrees.

The diagonals of a równoległobok bisect each other, meaning they intersect at their midpoint. The area of a równoległobok can be calculated by multiplying the length of one side by the perpendicular height to that side. Another way to calculate the area is using the lengths of the diagonals and the angle between them, though this is less common. Special types of równoległoboks include rectangles, squares, and rhombuses, each with additional properties. A rectangle is a równoległobok with four right angles. A rhombus is a równoległobok with all four sides equal in length. A square is both a rectangle and a rhombus, possessing all the properties of both.
