Ruststained

Ruststained refers to the discoloration or staining caused by rust, which is a common iron oxide formed by the reaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of moisture or air. This process, known as oxidation or rusting, creates a reddish-brown coating on the surface of iron or steel. When this rust detaches or rubs off onto other surfaces, it leaves behind a stain.

These stains can appear on a variety of materials, including fabrics, concrete, stone, wood, and other metals. For instance, leaving a rusty object on a light-colored surface for an extended period will often result in a rust stain being transferred. Similarly, water runoff from rusty iron structures can create streaks and stains on walls and pavement.
