Ruizong
Ruizong refers to two different emperors of the Tang Dynasty in China. The first was Emperor Ruizong of Tang (Li Dan), who reigned from 684 to 690 and again from 710 to 712. He was the son of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian. During his first reign, he was largely a figurehead under his mother's control. After her abdication, he regained the throne, but his rule was short-lived, and he eventually abdicated in favor of his son, Emperor Xuanzong.
