Ruiseñor
Ruiseñor is the Spanish word for nightingale. There are several species of nightingales, but it most commonly refers to the common nightingale, Luscinia megarhynchos. This small passerine bird is renowned for its powerful and beautiful song, especially at night. They are migratory birds, spending their breeding season in Europe and northwestern Africa, and wintering in sub-Saharan Africa. The common nightingale is typically found in dense undergrowth, woodlands, and gardens, where it can forage for insects and berries. Its plumage is generally a drab brown, providing effective camouflage. Despite their unassuming appearance, the complex and varied songs of the male nightingale have been a source of inspiration in literature and music for centuries. The name "nightingale" itself derives from Old English, meaning "night singer."
