Rozhodovacie

Rozhodovacie is an adjectival form derived from the verb rozhodovať (to decide) and is used in Slovak to describe things related to making decisions or the decision-making process. It functions to modify nouns that designate processes, bodies, tools, or rules involved in choosing among alternatives. The form is common in formal and technical contexts and is often paired with nouns that specify the aspect of decision-making being addressed.

In usage, rozhodovacie can describe various organizational and procedural elements. Examples include rozhodovacie orgány (decision-making bodies such as boards or councils), rozhodovacie procesy (the procedures by which decisions are made), and rozhodovacie pravidlá (rules governing how decisions are reached). In technical and scientific contexts, the term appears in phrases like rozhodovacie algoritmy (decision-making algorithms) and rozhodovacie stromy (decision trees) in data analysis and artificial intelligence. The adjective thus serves to distinguish aspects that pertain to choosing or determining outcomes from other stages such as implementation or evaluation.

Relation to other terms is mainly linguistic; in Czech the closest form is rozhodovací, while in Slovak the spelling jej is rozhodovacie. English equivalents include decision-making or decisional. Rozhodovacie is typically not used as a standalone noun but as part of compound terms describing the act or mechanism of making decisions.
