Roweiss

Roweiss is a coastal city and administrative capital of the Federation of Roweiss, located on the western coast of the continent of Elaria, at the mouth of the Mirin River. The city includes a historic old town and a modern waterfront, with a temperate maritime climate and frequent sea breezes.

Founded circa 12th century by the merchant clan Rowe, Roweiss grew as a trading port and naval base. It became a major hub in regional commerce during the late medieval period and joined the Federation in 1833. The city has preserved historic architecture alongside contemporary business districts.

The economy centers on shipping and logistics, finance, and light manufacturing, with growing sectors in research and technology. Roweiss hosts the state university and the Mirin Institute of Technology, producing graduates in engineering and business. Notable districts include the Old Quarter, with arcades and canal networks, and the Dockyards. Landmarks include Roweiss Cathedral, Central Market, and the Waterfront Campus. The population is around 1.2 million, with Roweissan as the official language and a multilingual community. Local governance follows a mayor-council system, and the Federation's capital is the nearby city of Ardent City.
