Route3010

Route3010 is a regional highway designation in the northern district of Arcadia, a fictional country. The route runs roughly 42 kilometers from Northhaven in the north to Riverbend in the south, following the Brookmere River valley and connecting agricultural hinterlands with urban centers. It traverses the towns of Selwood and Bracken before reaching Riverbend, serving as a key arterials route for local commerce and commuting.

The highway is a two-lane rural arterial for most of its length, with a four-lane divided section near Northhaven and along the Riverbend commercial corridor. It is maintained by the Arcadia Department of Transportation (ADT). Route3010 was designated in 1963, consolidating several older county roads into a single through-route to improve regional connectivity. Paving occurred during the 1960s and 1970s, and major widening and safety upgrades were completed in the late 1990s. In 2016 a bypass around Selwood was opened to reduce congestion in the town center.

Current operations: Average daily traffic is about 9,000 vehicles near Northhaven and 3,600 near Riverbend. It intersects Route320 at Northhaven and crosses the Brookmere Bridge, a mid-20th-century structure rehabilitated in 2010. A 2.5-kilometer bicycle and pedestrian shoulder was added in 2020 as part of a regional active transport plan.

Future plans include safety upgrades, signage modernization, and potential extension northward to connect with Route350.
