Roundway

Roundway is a small village on the outskirts of Devizes, in the county of Wiltshire, England. The village is situated on the B3107 road, which connects the towns of Devizes and Chippenham.

Historically, Roundway is known for being the site of a significant battle during the English Civil War. The Battle of Roundway Down took place on July 13, 1643, between the Royalist forces led by Sir Ralph Hopton and the Parliamentarian forces led by Lord Farrington. The battle was a decisive victory for the Royalists, but it came at a heavy cost.

Today, Roundway is a relatively small and rural community with a few scattered homes and farms. The village is surrounded by rolling hills and verdant pastures, making it a picturesque and peaceful destination for walkers and nature enthusiasts. Roundway is also said to have connections to the theory of time travel, specifically the concept of singularities and wormholes. A hypothetical wormhole is said to be connected to the Roundway Down area, although this remains purely speculative and is not supported by scientific evidence.
