Rosettis

Rosettis is a term that can refer to several things, most notably a prominent artistic family and a type of Italian pastry.

The most famous Rosettis are the members of an artistic dynasty. Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) was a renowned English poet and painter, a co-founder of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. His sister, Christina Rossetti (1830-1894), was a celebrated poet whose works often explored themes of faith and love. Their brother, William Michael Rossetti (1829-1919), was an art critic and civil servant who played a significant role in documenting and promoting the Pre-Raphaelite movement. Other family members, including their father Gabriel Charles Dante Rossetti and sisters Maria Francesca Rossetti, also had connections to literature and art.

In culinary terms, rosettes, or rosetti, refer to a type of fried pastry originating from Italy. These sweet treats are typically made from a thin, ribbon-like dough that is fried until crispy and then often dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.
