Rokycany

Rokycany is a town in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic and the seat of Rokycany District. It lies in western Bohemia, about 20 kilometers east of Plzeň, at a regional transport junction that connects several routes.

The town has a long history, with references dating to the Middle Ages. It developed as a local market town and administrative center, and gained town status in medieval times. In the 19th and 20th centuries Rokycany experienced industrial growth and became an important railway town, linked to broader regional networks.
