Ringwraiths
The Ringwraiths, also known as the Nazgûl, are a group of malevolent creatures in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. They were originally the most powerful of the Istari, the order of wizards sent to Middle-earth by the Valar. The Ringwraiths were corrupted by the One Ring, which they sought to reclaim after the fall of Sauron. The Ringwraiths are often depicted as having a spectral or ghostly appearance, with their faces obscured by black cloaks and hoods. They are known for their ability to take the form of other creatures, such as eagles or wolves, and for their powerful and deadly abilities. The Ringwraiths are often associated with the concept of death and decay, and are seen as a symbol of the corrupting influence of power. Despite their malevolent nature, the Ringwraiths play a significant role in the events of The Lord of the Rings, serving as the primary antagonists in the story.
