Rikkisidokside
Rikkisidokside refers to a group of chemical compounds where sulfur and oxygen atoms are bonded together. The most common and well-known examples are sulfur dioxide (SO2) and sulfur trioxide (SO3). Sulfur dioxide is a colorless gas with a pungent odor and is produced during the combustion of fossil fuels containing sulfur, as well as from volcanic activity. It plays a significant role in atmospheric chemistry and is a major air pollutant. In industrial applications, sulfur dioxide is used in the production of sulfuric acid, as a preservative, and as a bleaching agent.
Sulfur trioxide is also a colorless compound, but it is highly reactive and readily reacts with water
