Revillagigedo
The Revillagigedo Archipelago, also known as Islas Revillagigedo, is a remote group of four volcanic islands and several islets in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Located about 390 kilometers (roughly 240 miles) southwest of the Mexican mainland, off the coast of Colima and near the state of Jalisco, the archipelago comprises four main islands: Socorro, San Benedicto, Roca Partida, and San Miguel. Socorro is the largest and, aside from a small resident population, the only inhabited island.
