RetinaStrukturen
RetinaStrukturen refers to the various layers and components that make up the retina, the light-sensitive layer of tissue at the back of the eye. The retina contains photoreceptor cells, which are responsible for converting light into electrical signals that are sent to the brain via the optic nerve. These photoreceptor cells include rods and cones, which are specialized for low-light and color vision, respectively.
The retina is composed of several distinct layers, each with its own function. The outermost layer is
The inner nuclear layer contains the cell bodies of the bipolar cells, as well as horizontal cells
The fovea, a small depression in the center of the retina, is the area of sharpest vision
Damage to the retina can lead to vision loss, and conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy,
