Retikulocytantal
Retikulocytantal refers to the count of reticulocytes in a blood sample. Reticulocytes are immature red blood cells, also known as erythrocytes. They are produced in the bone marrow and are released into the bloodstream, where they mature into functional red blood cells within one to two days. The reticulocyte count is a measure of how quickly the bone marrow is producing new red blood cells.
A normal reticulocyte count typically ranges from 0.5% to 1.5% of the total red blood cell count.
