Reshmohet is a fictional term used in speculative discussions of adaptive systems and self-organizing networks. It denotes a process by which a system autonomously reshapes its internal architecture—such as connections, resource allocation, and functional modules—in response to changing inputs, with the aim of preserving or enhancing performance.

Mechanism: A reshmohet cycle begins with sensing environmental state, evaluating performance metrics, and selecting reconfiguration options. A planner assesses trade-offs, and actuators implement structural changes, often in a staged or incremental manner to maintain stability. The concept is used to explore resilience, modularity, and scalability in complex networks.

Origins and status: The term emerged in theoretical discussions of self-organizing systems and later appeared in science fiction as a device for imagining resilient artificial and urban networks. It is not part of established engineering practice and has no formal technical standard.

Applications and interpretations: In fiction, reshmohet enables cities or machines to rewire transport, energy, or communication networks during crises. In analysis, it provides a comparative model for other adaptive processes such as autopoiesis and dynamic reconfiguration.
