Repülőképessége refers to the ability of an object or organism to fly. This encompasses a wide range of phenomena, from the natural flight of birds and insects to the engineered flight of aircraft. The fundamental principles governing repülőképessége are rooted in physics, primarily aerodynamics.

For biological entities, flight is a complex evolutionary adaptation. Birds and insects achieve flight through the coordinated action of wings, which generate lift and thrust. The shape of their wings, the musculature, and their skeletal structure are all optimized for aerial locomotion. In contrast, insects often rely on flapping their wings at high frequencies to create airflow patterns that support their weight and propel them forward.
