Reparációk

Reparációk refers to the reparations demanded from a defeated nation after a conflict, most notably after World War I. These payments or assets were intended to compensate the victorious nations for the damages and losses incurred during the war. The concept of reparations has a long history, but its modern application became prominent following the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, which imposed heavy reparations on Germany.

The Treaty of Versailles stipulated that Germany was responsible for the damage caused by the war. The exact amount of reparations was initially undetermined, but eventually set at a substantial sum, which included cash payments, raw materials, and other forms of compensation. The rationale behind these demands was to weaken the defeated power and to help rebuild the economies of the Allied nations.
