Repülfelület

Repülfelület is a Hungarian term that translates to "flight surface" or "lifting surface" in English. In the context of aerodynamics and aviation, it refers to any surface designed to generate lift when moving through a fluid, typically air. The most common example of a repülfelület is an aircraft wing, but it can also include the surfaces of helicopter rotors, the fins of rockets, or even the sails of a boat interacting with the wind.

The fundamental principle behind the operation of a repülfelület is the generation of an aerodynamic force, primarily lift, due to the shape of the surface and its orientation relative to the airflow. This shape, often characterized by an airfoil profile, causes the air to flow faster over the upper surface than the lower surface. According to Bernoulli's principle, this difference in speed creates a pressure differential, with lower pressure above the surface and higher pressure below, resulting in an upward force.

The effectiveness of a repülfelület is influenced by various factors, including its shape (airfoil profile), its angle of attack (the angle between the surface and the oncoming airflow), its size, and the speed of the fluid flow. A steeper angle of attack generally increases lift, up to a point where the airflow separates from the surface, leading to a stall and a significant loss of lift.
