Relationsmodeller is a term used to describe approaches and tools designed to model and infer relationships among entities within a dataset. It emphasizes relational patterns (edges) across diverse domains such as social networks, biological networks, or knowledge graphs. The input typically consists of a set of entities (nodes), relation types (edge types), and possibly attributes on nodes and edges.

Common techniques include relational probabilistic models (for example, Markov or Bayesian networks tailored to relational data), relational embedding methods, tensor factorization for multi-relational data, and graph neural networks that propagate information along edges. Systems may support scalable training on large graphs, handling missing data, and evaluation for tasks such as link prediction, relation classification, and graph completion.

Applications span social network analysis, bioinformatics, knowledge-graph construction and maintenance, recommender systems, and fraud or anomaly detection in relational data. Outputs typically include likelihood scores for potential edges, predicted relations, and learned vector representations of entities and relation types.
