Reinsve

Renate Reinsve is a Norwegian actress known for her work in film and theatre. She was born on 28 April 1987 in Oslo, Norway. Reinsve studied acting at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and began performing in Norwegian theatre before transitioning to film and television.

Reinsve gained international recognition with The Worst Person in the World (2021), directed by Joachim Trier. The film, the latest installment in Trier’s Oslo trilogy, follows Julie, a young woman navigating love and career in Oslo. Reinsve’s performance was widely acclaimed for its nuance and vitality.

At the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, she won the Best Actress Award for The Worst Person in the World, marking a high point in her international profile. The same film earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress at the 94th Academy Awards (2022).
