Regularfooted

Regularfooted refers to a stance in various board sports such as skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding. A regularfooted individual places their left foot forward on the board and uses their right foot to push off or steer. This is in contrast to a "goofy-footed" stance, where the right foot is placed forward.

The term "regular" is derived from the common observation that most people naturally favor their right side for activities requiring dominance and balance, leading to a left foot forward stance. However, this is a generalization, and individual preference or natural inclination plays a significant role in determining one's stance.

Identifying as regularfooted or goofy-footed is a fundamental aspect of learning and participating in these sports. It influences the type of tricks and maneuvers a rider can perform and how they approach obstacles and waves. Many athletes try both stances when they begin to see which feels more comfortable and allows for better control and progression. There is no inherent advantage to being regularfooted over goofy-footed; it is purely a matter of personal orientation.
