Regelflächencharakter refers to a property of surfaces in differential geometry. A surface is said to possess Regelflächencharakter if it can be generated by a one-parameter family of straight lines. These straight lines are called generators. This means that at every point on the surface, there exists a line lying entirely on the surface that passes through that point.
