Redutseerimisvõime
Redutseerimisvõime, also known as reducing power or reducing ability, refers to the capacity of a substance to donate electrons in a chemical reaction, thereby causing the reduction of another substance. In redox (reduction-oxidation) reactions, one species is reduced (gains electrons) while another is oxidized (loses electrons). The substance that facilitates this reduction by donating electrons is the reducing agent, and its ability to do so is its redutseerimisvõime.
The strength of a reducing agent is determined by its electrode potential. Substances with more negative standard
Common examples of reducing agents include active metals like sodium, potassium, and zinc, as well as compounds
