Redoksiniciaatorid

Redoksiniciaatorid, also known as redox initiators, are chemical compounds that initiate polymerization reactions through a redox mechanism. These initiators are typically composed of two components: an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent. When these two components are mixed, they react with each other, generating free radicals. These free radicals then attack the monomer molecules, initiating the chain reaction that leads to polymer formation.

The advantage of using redox initiation systems lies in their ability to operate at lower temperatures compared to thermal initiation methods. This is particularly beneficial for polymers that are sensitive to heat or when polymerization needs to be controlled precisely.
