Redanias

Redanias is a fictional island nation and archipelago used in speculative fiction. It lies in a temperate maritime region and has a long history of seafaring. The political and cultural center is Marehaven, the capital and principal port on the largest island, Aeloria. The name Redanias derives from the ancient Redan language spoken by early navigators.

The archipelago comprises five major islands—Aeloria, Brinath, Celanese, Dornal, and Hespera—and numerous smaller islets. Redanias has a population of about 4.2 million, with coastal towns forming the economic backbone. The official language is Redanian; English is widely taught.
